Pohlen Road level crossing

What we’re doing

We’re adding clearer signs and road markings to give people early warning of the rail crossing. We’re also making the crossing safer by:

  • widening the northbound shoulder on SH27 to make it safer to turn right
  • widening the crossing area to provide bays for longer vehicles.

Temporary road closure and use of stop/go signs

Project dates: Early 2020.
Site hours: 8am to 5pm each day, including weekends.
Traffic management: Stop/go signs to allow trucks to enter and exit the site safely.
You might notice: Noise and dust, as well as large machinery and trucks in use.

There will also be some further works at the Pohlen Road crossing in November.

We’ll do our best to carry out this work as quickly and as efficiently as possible to minimise any disruption.
