Safe Roads and Roadsides Programme

The Safe Roads Alliance team have noticed a recent increase in direct attempts to have staff open unsolicited phishing emails. All people communicating with representatives from Safe Roads Alliance are advised to be vigilant and look out for suspicious emails. Should you discover one, please do not open any attachments but notify us at info@nzta.govt.nz

The Safe Roads and Roadsides Programme is making around 1500km of state highway safer through measures such as rumble strips, shoulder widening, safety barriers and better signage to reduce deaths and serious injuries on rural state highways.

We are working with stakeholders and local communities to find safety solutions that will make a difference. Mistakes will still happen, but if our roads and roadsides can be made safer, more of us might survive those crashes.
